In what’s being hailed as an industry first, the 42kft.com rankings are based on a rigorous, data-driven assessment of genuine climate action—not vague pledges. Airlines were scored across nine criteria, with points awarded only for verified, long-term commitments to cutting fuel use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
