History

AirBaltic was established in 1995 as a joint venture between the Latvian state and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS). It commenced operations with a focus on connecting the Baltic region with key European destinations. Over the years, airBaltic has transformed into a hybrid low-cost carrier, becoming the first national flag carrier to market itself as such. The airline has expanded its network and modernized its fleet, positioning itself as a leading carrier in the Baltic region.

Route Network

AirBaltic operates over 130 routes from its hubs in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and seasonally from Gran Canaria. The airline connects the Baltic region with destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region. Through its extensive network of more than 20 codeshare partners, airBaltic provides access to over 200 destinations worldwide.

Cabin Classes & Service

AirBaltic offers two classes of service:

  • Business Class: Passengers enjoy premium seating with additional legroom, complimentary meals and beverages, priority boarding, and access to airport lounges where available. Find out more Here.

Loyalty Program
