Asiana Airlines was established in 1988 as a second national airline of South Korea to compete with Korean Air and foster competition in the aviation market. It is a subsidiary of the Kumho Asiana Group and quickly expanded its international and domestic route networks. The airline joined the Star Alliance in 2003, aligning itself with global carriers. In 2020, it announced a merger with Korean Air to consolidate operations and strengthen competitiveness, a process which is still underway.

Business Suites which are primarily available on the A380 and allow additional privacy, fully lie-flat beds and premium dining options.
Business Smartium Class features lie-flat seats, direct aisle access, and enhanced services, primarily on A350 and A380 aircraft.
Economy Class provides comfortable seating with adjustable headrests and personal entertainment screens.
In-flight services include award-winning meal options (including special meals), advanced in-flight entertainment, and Korean cultural touches like bibimbap dishes.
