Ethiopian Airlines, the national carrier of Ethiopia, was founded in 1945 and commenced operations in 1946. Initially established with the assistance of TWA (Trans World Airlines), Ethiopian Airlines has grown to become Africa’s largest and most profitable airline. Known as the “Pride of Africa,” the airline has played a crucial role in connecting the continent to the rest of the world. In 2011, Ethiopian Airlines joined the Star Alliance, enhancing its global reach.
