HK Express was established in 2004 as a full-service carrier but transitioned to a low-cost carrier (LCC) in 2013, becoming Hong Kong’s first airline to adopt the LCC model. The shift allowed HK Express to offer affordable travel options, focusing on short and medium-haul routes across Asia. The airline quickly gained popularity for its budget-friendly fares and efficient operations. In 2019, HK Express was acquired by Cathay Pacific, strengthening its position in the market and complementing Cathay’s premium services with HK Express’s cost-effective approach. Despite challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, the airline has maintained its focus on providing affordable and reliable travel.

Domestic (China): HK Express flies to major Chinese cities like Haikou, Ningbo, and Zhengzhou.
