The airline has positioned itself as a luxury carrier, known for premium onboard services and high-quality hospitality.

During the late 2000s, Oman Air introduced its first wide-body aircraft, allowing it to launch long-haul operations. In recent years, the airline has modernized its fleet with Boeing 787 Dreamliners and expanded its route network.
