Details
Established in 1993, Qatar Airways commenced operations in January 1994. Initially a small regional carrier, it underwent a significant reorganization in 1997 under new management, transforming into a leading international airline. Over the years, Qatar Airways has expanded its network and fleet, earning numerous awards, including ‘World’s Best Airline’ for the eighth time in 2024.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club is the airline’s loyalty program. Members can earn and redeem Qmiles on Qatar Airways and partner airlines. Tiered membership levels (Burgundy, Silver, Gold, Platinum) enable members to receive increasing privileges which may include access to lounges, extra baggage allowance, and priority services for higher-tier members.

Qatar Airways provides premium lounge facilities at Hamad International Airport in Doha including Al Safwa Lounge for First Class passengers, the Al Mourjan Business Lounge offering dining, relaxation areas, and business centers. In addition are the Oryx, Al Maha and Mariner lounges.
Qatar also operates lounges at international airports in Bangkok, Paris, Singapore, Beirut, and London Heathrow.
