Shandong Airlines was established on March 12, 1994, and commenced operations in September of the same year. In September 1997, it became a founding member of the New Star Aviation Alliance, collaborating with five other Chinese provincial airlines to enhance financial stability and resist takeovers by larger competitors. The airline launched its first international service on June 8, 2004, connecting Jinan to Singapore. Over the years, Shandong Airlines has expanded its network and fleet, becoming a significant regional carrier in China.
Short- and Medium-Range Aircraft (Narrow-Body)
Shandong Airlines operates over 380 domestic, international, and regional routes, with more than 4,700 flights weekly to over 80 large and medium-sized cities. The airline has established branches and air bases in locations including Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai, Xiamen, Chongqing, Beijing, Urumqi, and Guiyang, forming a comprehensive network with key connecting points in Shandong, Xiamen, and Chongqing.

Business Class: Available on select routes, offering enhanced comfort, additional legroom, premium meal options, and priority boarding.
Economy Class: Standard seating with in-flight services tailored to route length and aircraft type.
In-flight services include meal offerings based on flight duration and time, as well as in-flight entertainment options on select aircraft.
Shandong Airlines participates in Air China’s frequent flyer program, Phoenix Miles. Members can earn and redeem miles on flights operated by Shandong Airlines, Air China, and other partner airlines, with benefits such as priority check-in, extra baggage allowance, and lounge access based on membership tier.
Eligible passengers, including Business Class travelers and Phoenix Miles elite members, have access to airport lounges operated by Shandong Airlines and its partners. These lounges offer amenities such as comfortable seating, complimentary refreshments, Wi-Fi, and business facilities.
