TAAG Angola Airlines was founded in 1938 as Divisão dos Transportes Aéreos under the colonial administration of Portugal. After Angola gained independence in 1975, the airline was nationalized and rebranded as TAAG Angola Airlines. The carrier has historically played a crucial role in Angola’s connectivity, operating both domestic and international routes. TAAG has faced challenges, including past EU airspace bans due to safety concerns, which have since been lifted after significant improvements. Over the years, the airline has modernized its fleet and expanded its network, with ambitions to become a leading African carrier.

TAAG offers three cabin classes on its long-haul routes and two on domestic and regional flights.
First Class: Available on select Boeing 777 aircraft, First Class provides a premium experience with fully flat seats, fine dining, and personalized service.
Business Class: Offers lie-flat or angled-flat seats on international flights, priority check-in, extra baggage allowance, and lounge access.
Economy Class: Features standard seating with in-flight entertainment, complimentary meals, and beverages. Some long-haul routes offer extra legroom seats for additional comfort.
