History

TAP Air Portugal was founded in 1945 and commenced operations in 1946 with flights from Lisbon to Madrid. Over the decades, TAP expanded its network across Europe, Africa, and the Americas, becoming the leading airline of Portugal. It was privatized in 2015 but later renationalized by the Portuguese government. TAP has modernized its fleet with a strong focus on Airbus aircraft and is a key carrier for transatlantic travel, especially between Europe and Brazil.

Cabin Classes & Service
