Virgin Atlantic was established in 1984 by entrepreneur Richard Branson. The airline commenced operations on June 22, 1984, with its inaugural flight from London Gatwick to Newark. Over the years, Virgin Atlantic expanded its network to include destinations across North America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. In March 2023, the airline joined the SkyTeam alliance, enhancing its global connectivity.
