Volaris was established in 2005 as an ultra-low-cost airline to serve the growing demand for affordable air travel in Mexico. It commenced operations in 2006 with flights between Toluca and Tijuana. The airline quickly expanded its domestic and international networks, targeting budget-conscious travelers. Volaris later entered the U.S. market, catering to Mexican expatriates with routes to major cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and Las Vegas. Over the years, it has grown into Mexico’s largest domestic airline by passenger volume.

Volaris serves more than 70 destinations across Mexico, the United States, Central America, and South America.
