MH370: Family Member’s Heart-Wrenching Plea

An MH370 family member and highly respected spokesman for the families KS Narendran has made a heart-wrenching please for information about the status of the search.

There has been no official word on the status of the search since January 19 on the official MH370 Families Facebook page and no communication directly with the families by the Malaysian government.

Ocean Infinity is contracted to Malaysia on a no-find-no-fee basis but left the search area on January 18th due to bad weather and has not returned.

KS Narendran (below) has posted a plea on his website for news – any news.

This is an excerpt and there is a link below to his whole post.

“Information and updates regarding the ongoing search remain much sought after. For the families it is the reassurance that the search and investigation is active, ongoing and continues to be invested in. A glimmer of hope that the coming days might bring news long awaited. Malaysia sprang a surprise this time with weekly mails to families with updates on the search – area covered, any significant finds weather conditions, and the prospects for continued search. Just when it seemed that Malaysia had taken seriously the concerns and criticism of its communications and lack of transparency in previous years and had made amends, the communications stopped.

Social media accounts tell us that after the first burst of search activity, the search ship, Armada 8605, returned to port (Freemantle?) late Jan 2026, and after a few days there set sail to Western Samoa. Why? Adverse weather in the search area? Will Armada 8605 return to the search? What do weather forecasts foretell for the continuation of search in this ‘season’? Will an alternate vessel sail to the search area? There might still be a month of agreeable weather fit for the search. There has been no word from Ocean Infinity.  What we have is an information blackout. Silence from Malaysia. There is mounting curiosity, impatience and annoyance.  Was this how it felt like at Air Traffic Control when the transponder went off and MH370 became invisible and incommunicado that night of 8th March 2014?

The families’ need for answers is not seasonal but perennial. The silence from authorities is perplexing. It feels cruel and the remnants of goodwill one summoned for the Government of Malaysia is slipping away one more time.”
