Qatar Airways and Boeing have now clarified their unprecedented agreement for the purchase of up to 210 widebody jets—the largest widebody aircraft order in Boeing’s history.

The historic deal includes 130 Boeing 787s and 30 Boeing 777-9s, with options for 50 more aircraft. This blockbuster order cements Qatar Airways as the largest 787 Dreamliner operator in the Middle East and one of the most formidable global carriers in long-haul aviation. It also signals a deepening of U.S.-Qatar economic ties, as the deal is projected to support approximately 400,000 jobs across the United States aerospace industry.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by high-profile leaders, including U.S. President Donald J. Trump, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Boeing President and CEO Kelly Ortberg, Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO Stephanie Pope, and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer.

The deal features two of Boeing’s flagship widebody aircraft:
- 130 787s – Known for delivering a 25% fuel efficiency improvement over the aircraft they replace.
- 30 777-9s – The world’s largest and most efficient twin-engine jet, also designed to cut fuel use and emissions by 25%. (When it enters service)
