Vietjet is accelerating its international expansion with the launch of two new direct routes from Hanoi to Chengdu and Xi’an, China—key gateways to Western China’s tourism and business hubs. The inaugural flights are set to take off on July 1 and July 6, 2025, respectively, with each route operating four round-trip flights per week.

The move marks a major milestone for Vietjet, bringing its total number of direct Vietnam–China routes introduced in the first half of 2025 to seven, underscoring the airline’s rapid growth and strengthening presence in one of Asia’s most dynamic aviation markets.
To celebrate the launch, Vietjet is rolling out eye-catching promotional fares starting from USD0 (*), available on www.vietjetair.com and via the Vietjet Air mobile app, enticing travelers with more affordable and accessible options.
These new routes build on a string of recent additions, including flights connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Beijing and Guangzhou, as well as the Hanoi–Shanghai service launched earlier this year. Together, they form a robust flight network that deepens connectivity between Vietnam and China, while also enhancing links across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia–Pacific region.
Beyond China, Vietjet is extending its regional footprint with new services from Ho Chi Minh City to Hyderabad and Bengaluru in India, and Nagoya and Fukuoka in Japan. The airline will also debut a new route between Phu Quoc island and Singapore later this month, further anchoring its status as a regional low-cost powerhouse.
