Virgin Australia has taken immediate action to support its crew members after an unfortunate incident in Nadi, Fiji, on New Year’s Day. Three staff members were reportedly assaulted and robbed with allegations of rape in the early hours following a night out, according to a report from the Fiji Sun.
While details of the incident remain scarce, the airline confirmed that it has sent additional staff to Fiji to assist. The affected crew members are safe and currently staying at their hotel. Notably, they were not detained in connection with the event.
Fiji’s Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew, stated that local authorities are actively investigating the case.
